- Erlernen der Anwendung solarthermischer Energie für klimatechnische Anlagen, Erlernen von Evaluierungsinstrumenten und Größenkennzahlen für die Auslegung solarthermischer Anlagen zur klimatechnischen Nutzung (als Komponenten eines Gesamtsystems), auch zur lösungsorientierten Planung der Verbindung von Systemen untereinander und mit dem Gebäude; Erlernen des Gebrauchs von Planungsinstrumenten und Simulationsprogrammen für die Umsetzung von Solar-Klimasystemen.
- Verstehen der Grundcharakteristika und der Leistungsfähigkeit von solarthermischen Kraftwerken (Concentrated Solar Power - CSP) in nationalen Energieversorgungssystemen; Erlernen der Bewertung des technischen und ökonomischen Potentials von CSP in einem Land und wie die besten Standorte für die Projektentwicklung ermittelt werden; Erlernen der Gestaltung und Umsetzung nachhaltiger nationaler Energieversorgungssysteme sowie Gestaltung von Szenarien für die Implementierung; Erlernen, wie solarthermische Anwendungen zur nachhaltigen Wasserversorgung beitragen; Verstehen der Grundlagen internationaler Beziehungen für den Solarstrom-Export und für Fernnetze; Kennenlernen der Umweltauswirkungen von CSP-Anlagen.
